BEMPOTOL 180 TABLET contains Bempedoic Acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Lipid lowering agents. It is used alone or together with cholesterol-lowering medicine (statins) to manage primary hypercholesterolaemia (condition in which blood cholesterol level rises above the normal limits) or mixed dyslipidaemia in adults when statins become intolerable to manage the condition in affected individuals.

Mixed dyslipidaemia is a condition that occurs due to elevations in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) (known as bad cholesterol) and triglyceride levels accompanied with low levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) (known as good cholesterol) which is generally characterized by the symptoms such as tightness/pain in chest, dizziness, and awareness of heartbeat (palpitation).
